If you like scary movies, look no further than The Ring. After the many disappointing recent 'horror' movies like Thirteen Ghosts it's refreshing to see that we don't always have to go back to the 70's horror classics if we feel like spending the night hidden behind the sofa, or peeking round a cushion.

A group of students come across a video that, so the story goes, you die one week after watching. As soon as the video finishes, your phone rings and a child's voice says to you the chilling words "Seven Days". Sure enough, a week later you will be six feet under.

The students who see the video all die, and the story starts when Rachel Keller (played by ex-Neighbours actress Naomi Watts), a friend of one of the victims mothers learns about the video.

She sets about discovering the story behind the video and uncovers a disturbing story that actually makes less sense the more that is revealed, but the images and set pieces are so frightening and disturbing it doesn't really matter.

This movie is genuinely scary, and doesnt rely on tacky CGI to deliver the shocks.

Feel free to watch this movie - but don't say you weren't warned - you WILL be scared!!
