Film Review

Starring: John Cusack, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Julia Roberts and Billy Crystal.

Director: Joe Roth

This romantic comedy starts off when the most famous Hollywood couple, on and off screen, spilt up.

Gwen (Catherine Zeta-Jones) falls in love with someone else and Eddie (John Cusack) goes temporally insane and tries to kill his estranged wife and new boyfriend.

Lee Phillips (Billy Crystal) has to try and make the press and the public think that Gwen and Eddie are back together so that their last ever film together won’t be a huge flop, with help from Kiki (Julia Roberts) Gwen’s sister, who has lost 60lbs in the year and a half that Gwen and Eddie had spilt up, has to help them along all the while she is in love with Eddie.

There is great acting in it in. I think that this film could have been funnier but the bits with Billy Crystal and the dog are really good. I would only go see this film if you are a fan of one of the actors but if you like Meet the Parents you’ll like this one too.
